It SEEMS like this process should have been around long enough for someone to have needed this info before, but all I’ve been able to find has been geared toward CNC routing which, if I understand correctly, is almost entirely different in post-process. Unfortunately, I have never had to use a post-processor for CNC work, and I feel kind of lost. I’m using InkScape to build the SVG so that I might cut it out using the plasma table. (Or at least the next step in the learning process) Anyway, I picked up a table and have assembled it and it seems to work to spec, but I’m hung up on the last step in the flow.
One of the owners (the one who did the post-process) recently passed away unexpectedly. I’m so brand new to CNC plasma (on the user side) that I still sparkle, though I’ve been putting together designs in SVG for a small machine shop for some time. It will import an svg converted online but it will not import any svg I’ve created today on two different windows 10 computers. It will import an svg exported from Microstation. Posts that do not meet this criteria will be removed without question. Sheetcam will import all of my old svg files no problem. Posts of self promotion MUST include original content directly from the post author and have been created with reasonable effort.
